Why I Created My Final Piece In This Way

I created my final piece in this way because i wanted to see a different technique that i have never used used that when i thought on spray paint just because banksy does it so i thought i would give it ago so i just went into and done my final piece straight away because i wanted to test it i had problems with the spray paint at first but it turned out great in the end. I wanted it to say that why cant i have a urban painting in a urban environment that what i wanted to show i planned it out the way most people would one part at a time so the spray pain has time to dry so i can start with the next section.

I picked a Nabri Price piece called "Untitled Kerbston" . I choose this piece just because its a unique piece of art you wouldn't see a painting like that in a art gallery and if you saw his work in real life. When he was drawing it at the time you wouldn't see it in real life you would probably just walk right past it.

What i think untitled kerbston means that even old and out of date. Should be noticed every now and then. He has used fine paint lines in this piece of he has got all the details right. He made it so realistic and that where he makes it look so intriguing and that good for a piece like this.

I started my research of Narbi Price piece on the street. I took pictures of same style of Narbi Price and then i drawed it out in a basic design to get a feel to help me get ideas to make the piece better and in my own style and way.

I collected photo's for my primary resource to help me get a feel to an idea for my final and what it would look like so i took photo's of Narbi Price style that helped loads.

How i started to get my ideas flowing is that i used different techniques and materials and process how i got into it i used a college technique i put my primary resource picture and i put it in a different way to make a narbi price to it. Then i used an over painting technique where i am showing in this piece shading and to make it three dimensional so it looks like it coming of the paper. I tried to make it is as realistic as possible. Then i used texture surface technique so you can get the feel that its an urban look yo my piece so you know what it feels like i used Sand,Salt and Sugar in texture surface piece. I used big and bold colour very cold colour so i can industrial feel to it just basic black and white.

My strengths and weakness in this project is my strengths are my artist research and how i got a feel to his work and my weakness in my work that i didnt get enough primary images i should of got more to help with this project.

I think my final piece is strong i got the feel to narbi price i made it that urban look to it so strong and bold colours i done a textured surface for my final i used black and white but i put yellow into it to make you drawed into it and it makes the piece stand out more what i would make it different in my final piece is that i would of made it more realistic so it look like you looking at a photograph that how realistic.

I would intend my final piece to be displayed on that wall with a light shining on it show it would make it look like it was at night and it would show of texture surface more.

What i am trying to communicate in my piece of work of seeing it when you cant because most people wont't see it and when you see it you wouldn't believe it was there so that what i am trying to reflect in my work.

I worked on my final piece again but i did it in the style of banksy just because he is a street artist his work has inspired everyone around the world just because people want to know who this person is and i picked him because his work inspires me to express myself just the way he does that why i spray painted my art work on to a wall and used ever technique a street artist would do. In banksy work he prove a point mostly its about government and war. I think his work is so popular just because no one else is doing what he is doing and that is sticking it to the man because i think he wants people to know that there loads of us second class people trying everything to live in this world and then there the working class and i don't think banksy wants then to get everything when they did nothing to get it. I think my final piece looks like a banksy style of work in the style of narbi price as well and i really like my piece of work.

I created my painting this way because i wanted to get more of a street artist style more. The painting it self means respect because most people don't respect there surroundings so that is what i am showing in this piece of work. what this piece of work say to me is that you take things for granted and then later on in life just forget about them that what i want my piece of work to say to people. I had to layout like this because i was working with spray paint and it was my first time so i took a step by step process in this work so i could get it right i had to use masking tape so i could get perfect lines on my work and so i could get the rightsize i was looking for and the composition of the piece had to be dead on because i want the viewer to look straight at it so people can finally see what they couldn't see before. I had problems with it but the final piece turned out great in the end.

 Final Piece

Artist Banksy

Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter.
His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti done in a distinctive stencilling technique. Such artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.
Banksy's work was made up of the Bristol underground scene which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco and the book Home Sweet Home, Banksy "was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. The son of a photocopier technician, he trained as a butcher but became involved in graffiti during the great Bristol aerosol boom of the late 1980s." Observers have noted that his style is similar to Blek le Rat, who began to work with stencils in 1981 in Paris and Jef Aerosol who sprayed his first street stencil in 1982 in Tours (France), and members of the anarcho-punk band Crass, which maintained a graffiti stencil campaign on the London Tube System in the late 1970s and early 1980s. However Banksy claims that he based his work on that of 3D from Massive Attack, stating, "No, I copied 3D from Massive Attack. He can actually draw."

Banksy is great graffiti artist has loads of inspiring work around the uk this unknown artist has inspiring  loads of graffiti artist to express them self's this is were i got my idea to do a graffiti piece of work because it goes well with the artist i have got narbi price and these both inspired me to this piece of art

These are step by step process of my final piece and how to do graffiti you will struggle but you will under stand it more i only used 4 different spray paint colours yellow, black, white and grey this helped me get the right colours for the design this took me about 3 or 4 days to do aleast to finish because the weather kept changing on me this final process is the way to go
